APPLICATIONS:

Tricresyl phosphate is used as plasticizer in nitrocellulose, acrylate lacquers, and in polyvinyl chloride. TCP is a flame retardant for plastics and rubbers. It is also employed as a gasoline additive and as a lead scavenger for tetraethyllead. Furthermore, it is used for the waterproofing of materials, an anti-wear and extreme pressure additive in lubricants and hydraulic fluids. In addition, it acts as a solvent for extraction, particularly for nitrocellulose and polymers.
